For this project, students learned about telling a story through symbolism and included at least 3 symbols in their artwork to tell a story about themselves. Students were taught how to make a well-crafted pinch pot or plate, then to use sgraffito techniques to carve out their illustration.

For this project, students were taught about how to create functional teapots, while fitting their chosen theme—that was related to interests or a personal story. Students had the option to throw on the wheel or to hand build. Each teapot required all of the elements of the teapot (e.g., spout, handle, lid, stopper, knob) and the importance craftsmanship was emphasized for this level II course.

For this project, students created piggy banks that were based on realistic animals. Students coil built each sculpture, and were required to have a hollow structure with a hole for the coins (at the top and bottom).

For this project, students learned about what monoprinting is and created their on monoprinted landscape using paint, as well as adding additional details after with paint markers. Students learned the value of layering an artwork, as well as the value of adding detail to make features more distinct.
For this project, students learned about the value of telling stories through art. They learned about using visual elements to tell a story, and used sgraffito to create a narrative illustration. They also learned how to use slabs to build a box form with a lid. Students had to use all sides of the jar to tell the story, and the handle on the jar paired with the story as well.
