Students learned about puppets and how to make a simple puppet out of felt by cutting out pieces, gluing them on, then the teacher glued the two bases together to create a puppet!

Students listened to the story of the rainbow fish—a fish that had so many colorful scales, and eventually shared them with the other fish around him. They each created their own unique fish, then each student got to add their own glittery touch (to have a unique scale, too)!

Students learned how to make a coil and how to roll a coil for this project, then created a snail inspired by their learning about snails and slugs. Students used coil & slip n' score methods to create this project—a key building foundation for future clay projects in school.

Students learned about foreground, middleground, and background and how to use paper shapes to create recognizable objects, such as plants, clouds, animals, and other parts of a landscape. Students also learned about adding detail and texture to an artwork.

Students learned about how to cut shapes out of paper to make recognizable foods or objects to add onto a "crazy sandwhich." Students used layers of different colors and shapes to create these.

Crazy Bodies Book (2nd)
Students learned how to create a flip book where each separate drawing connected to the previous drawing, to create a "crazy body." Inspired by a commonly practiced collaborative artwork called "Exquisite Corpse."
